How Pylon Grew from an Observation into a New Category
In 2011, Jesse and Jason founded Beacon Cloud Solutions after spending years inside federal cybersecurity programs. They saw an opportunity to modernize network compliance and change authorization, processes that were still largely manual and slow to keep pace with the environments they protected.
What started as two cybersecurity professionals building better workflows grew into a fourteen-year journey of designing, testing, and ultimately creating a new category of software: Continuous Insight.
An Opportunity Takes Shape
Jesse and Jason see an opportunity to improve how federal organizations manage network compliance. They found Beacon Cloud Solutions to build something better.
Building Credibility
The team supports commercial clients, earns its first federal contracts, and goes full-time. Beacon Cloud gains traction in mission-critical environments.
A Proposal That Changes Everything
The team submits an unsolicited proposal for an automated compliance solution. The contract is awarded and development begins on the first version of the platform.
The Platform Matures
Seven years of iteration inside real federal programs. The platform evolves, adoption grows, and the team begins to see the outline of a new category: Continuous Insight.
A Strategic Shift
Beacon Cloud releases Pylon, a purpose-built platform representing everything the team has learned. The company pivots from services to software.
